For the wedding breakfast we have chosen the following options (please note: the vegetarian menu is also vegan, killing 2 birds with one stone…while not harming any birds in the process, I assure you):

Meal choice #1:
Starter: Four tomato and mozzarella salad with white balsamic and basil dressing
Main: Breast of chicken stuffed with haggis, skirlie potato, whisky and Arran mustard cream sauce
Dessert: Orange and Cointreau cheesecake

Meal choice #2 (vegetarian/vegan):
Starter: Sun dried tomato polenta with herb salad, saffron dressing
Main: Mushroom risotto with leeks and roasted pine kernels
Dessert: Dutch apple cake (This is a wheat, dairy and egg free cake made from rye flour with apple and cinnamon)

Please include in your RSVP if you wish to order the second option otherwise we will assume that you are opting for the first, non-vegan option.

Reception song requests:

So our DJ has this great system where guests can log in to the website and request songs to be played at the reception. If you can’t find the song in his collection, there’s a tab to request a song.

New Year check in and update

The dress is in, venue has been booked, photographer has been captured and the invites have been order. 

So, keep an eye out for an email soliciting your contact info. 

Also, we have booked a wonderful DJ who has an online system where our guests can request songs in advance so that it may be played during the reception. I will post that info shortly, once we figure it out. 

Everything is coming along nicely.

Note from the Apex re: accommodation

Rooms are available to guests for the night of the wedding at the rate of £95.00 B&B single occupancy/£105.00 B&B double occupancy inc. vat at 15%. Information to book the room can be gotten by emailing either of us (Dave_Dunlop@mac.com or JLDavid08@gmail.com).

Update

We’ve ordered the dress and are waiting to make the final decision and booking for the venue. We are both so excited to make it official!

Yesterday was the big wedding show at the SECC in Glasgow and it gave us alot of great contacts for stationary, rings and the like (it also gave us free samples, which made the accountant half of our party very happy). As we book things we will post the links on the left hand menu in order to spread the word about the great people who will help make our wedding dream a reality! One excellent resource we’ve found is the Scottish Wedding Directories. These guides fill in all gaps when it comes to wedding planning and have given us alot of really great tips. Now if only they could write and recite Dave’s wedding speech!

Hello Everyone and welcome to our wedding site. This webpage/blog will be maintained by Niffy and David jointly and will be updated as often as possible, so keep checking back.
